Working

Ssshush: I've been working on a new novel, quietly, silently, under the radar. NaNoWriMo was a bust this year for me, only about 7,000 or so words. I wasn't motivated, wasn't having much fun, and wasn't trying too hard. But one of the NaNo pep talk e-mails noted that the best part of NaNo was if you were bored (as I was), to remember to have fun with it and to skip to the next part. If what you were writing wasn't fun, just move on. So I've taken that advice, and am fairly deep into a new novel that is fun. I'll write more about it later, when I get a little further along. Jared and I have a pact to finish our current books by Feb. 29, printed on the table at lunch. Jared's finishing a clean draft of his NaNo novel by then. It's going to be tight, but I think I can get a draft printed by then. I'll try to keep you posted.

Fixed

We have our kitchen computer back, so once again I can post and surf the net and watch the weather radar to see how many more inches of snow will fall here on the Edge of Nowhere today. About four and counting as of now...

Dead computer?

We have a dead computer. Going on two weeks now. All work ceases. The Geek Squad currently has it. Keep your fingers crossed.
